Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the results of the UGC-National Eligibility Test (NET) on Tuesday. The examination was held on July 8 in 91 cities of the country.

According to a statement issued by the CBSE, a total of 11,48,235 candidates had registered for the examination, out of which more than 85,000 exams were given and 55,872 were eligible to apply for assistant professor.

A total of 3,929 candidates have been eligible to apply for both Assistant Professors and Junior Research Fellowship. 84 subjects were organized for this. This time the number of question papers was changed. There were only two question papers instead of three.

According to the University Grants Commission (UGC) policy, six percent of the candidates who have passed both the papers and the minimum qualifying marks in both the papers are jointly declared as qualified.
