Kings XI Punjab did not give up on the expectations even after the humiliating defeat by RCB in the match played in the IPL on Monday. Captain Ravichandran Ashwin, who has batted with failure in batting, has expressed confidence that his batsmen will help in ensuring the place in the IPL play-off in the remaining two matches.

Earlier, after batting first, the Kings XI Punjab, who reached the pavilion on a very low score of 88, had to face the defeat of Royal Challengers Bangalore by 10 wickets in the stadium on Monday night.

Ashwin said, “We are focusing on winning the last two matches by forgetting our previous matches.

Kings XI Punjab will play their next two matches against Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings on May 16 and May 20. Ashwin-led team will have to win both the matches to reach the playoffs.

The Punjab captain said on one question, there is a problem in the batting of our middle order. But we have very good batsmen in this order. I am confident that they will perform well in the next two matches.

Ashwin said, we are restless to win the next two matches. If a team is restless, then it can be dangerous.
