In view of the strong possibility of Imran Khan, who came to politics from the world of cricket, to become the next Prime Minister of Pakistan, he has been given VVIP security to the government head. This information is given in media reports.
According to a report of Dawn newspaper, senior police officials said that after the emergence of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) as the largest party in the elections of July 25, the party chief has been given the VVIP protocol.
It has been said in the report that after this decision, security around Khan and his residence has been increased. It is notable that one day earlier, he promised to end VIP culture. Senior police officials visited Khan’s Benigala residence and met his security officer. Officials said that the police team also assessed the surrounding area along with their residence.
The police have increased security at those places where Khan will go. An ambulance and fire trucks have also been deployed outside Khan’s residence. Officials said that pedestrian patrols and motorcycle patrol teams have also been deployed around their residence. The security of a mountain near the residence of Khan has also been suggested to increase security as Khan’s house is seen from the hill. In charge of their security team, they have been told to give information about their movement in advance so that security arrangements can be made on the way to those places.
