Mehru Maneka, the stepdaughter of Pakistan’s possible Prime Minister Imran Khan, joined the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf today. According to Dawn News TV news, Mehru, daughter of Khan’s third wife, Bushra Maneka, formally joined the party. She has been nominated for a ministerial post from the party. Prior to joining PTI, Mehru met chief Khan. Maneka was also present in the meeting between Mehru and Khan.
Khan has married Maneka in February this year in Lahore. She is a popular scholar and religious teacher of the Sufi branch of Islam. Maneka is not playing an active role in politics despite her marriage with PTI chief.

Let the parliamentary committee of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Party officially nominate Imran Khan as the party’s prime ministerial candidate today. The 65-year-old leader of the cricketer, Imran Khan, emerged as the biggest party in the general elections held on 25 July.
The date of the swearing-in ceremony of the new Prime Minister of Pakistan has not yet been announced. But it can happen on August 14, on Independence Day.
