The long-running team India’s Ireland-England tour of India is going to start on Wednesday. The team will start the long tour of Britain with a win in the first match of the two T20 matches against Ireland. The match will also prepare the team for England tour which will start after this short series. England’s team, in a fantastic form, has cleared Australia 5-0 in the one-day series and most of its players are in rhythm.

Given England’s tough challenge, the Indian team stayed in London for the preparation and practice of the match against Ireland. After reaching here on Saturday, the team participated in the first practice session in the Merchant Trailer School Cricket Ground.

According to team sources, the players were divided into three groups for the practice session. With Umesh Yadav and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, all-rounder Hardik Pandya led fast bowlers, while some others have fielding practice. In the batsmen, opener Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan did the first practice. Captain Virat Kohli and in-form KL Rahul, batted together against spin and fast bowlers on the net in the jaws.

Rahul is a regular member of the T20 team. Ajinkya Rahane’s absence from one-dayers, he will be the claimant of batting at number four in the three-match ODI series against England starting July 12. For the first time after the South Africa tour, India’s strongest team will appear on the field. In the T20 series against Sri Lanka in March, Kohli, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jaspreet Bumrah and Mahendra Singh Dhoni were rested.

In the last eleven, Rahul’s selection is considered almost certain, in which the middle-order will be a battle between Suresh Raina, Dinesh Karthik and Manish Pandey. Raina can also be used as the team’s sixth bowler. In South Africa, the team used them as a pinch-hitter at number three. The team will not want to keep Kartik, who is also running in a formidable form. In such a situation, Pandey can sit out despite having scored 255 runs in 85 T20 matches at an average of 85.

Spinners can play magic
In the bowling department, both spinners of the Kohli wrist can give chance to accommodate the situation with Yuswendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav. There is little concern for the team in fast bowling. Bumrah and Bhubaneswar will have more responsibility because Yadav has made a comeback in the T20 team after a long time and Siddharth Kaul has not made a debut in this format.

India has not played much against Ireland. Three ODIs and one T20 match have been played between the two teams. For Ireland, Captain Gary Wilson, former captain William Porterfield and all-rounder Kevin O’Brien have the experience of playing T-20 against the Indian team. In the meantime, 31-year-old off-spinner Simranjeet Singh, born in Punjab, will also have eyes for everyone. The match will begin at 8:30 pm, according to Indian time.
